New Delhi : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that the first round of NEET UG 2026 counselling for MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) will commence on August 4.
Eligible candidates who qualified in the NEET UG 2026 examination can register online, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and lock their choices through the official MCC counselling portal. The counselling process will cover admissions to AIQ seats, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, and other participating institutions.
According to the official schedule, seat allotment will be conducted based on NEET UG 2026 rank, candidate preferences, reservation norms, and seat availability. Students allotted seats must report to their respective institutions within the stipulated timeline to complete the admission process.
The academic session for MBBS and other undergraduate medical programmes is scheduled to begin on September 8, 2026, ensuring a timely start to the new academic year.
