Lucknow, July 2: Investigators have uncovered fresh details in the temple theft case in Ayodhya, revealing that the accused allegedly concealed stolen donation money inside a temple bathroom before secretly taking it out in small amounts over several days.
According to the police investigation, the suspects adopted a carefully planned method to avoid attracting attention. Instead of removing the entire amount at once, they reportedly hid the cash inside the temple premises and later smuggled it out in multiple installments.
Officials believe the strategy was designed to evade suspicion from temple staff and security personnel. The investigation has also found that the accused were familiar with the temple’s daily routine, helping them execute the theft without immediately raising alarms.
Police recovered a significant portion of the stolen money during the investigation and continue to question the accused to identify whether others were involved in the crime. Authorities are also examining CCTV footage, financial transactions, and other evidence to establish the complete sequence of events.
