Lucknow, May 31: The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will honor outstanding performers of the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board Examination 2026 in a special felicitation ceremony scheduled to be held in Lucknow during the first week of June.
The state government will invite the top 10 rank holders from both the Munshi/Maulvi (Secondary) and Alim (Senior Secondary) examinations. The top three students in each category will be awarded tablet devices to support their higher education and digital learning.
Yogi Government Focuses on Modernizing Madrasa Education
The initiative is part of the Uttar Pradesh government’s broader effort to modernize madrasa education and integrate students from minority communities into mainstream educational and career opportunities.
Officials said the government is committed to ensuring quality education, digital empowerment, and skill development for madrasa students, enabling them to compete successfully in today’s technology-driven world.
The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing students with both religious and modern education through the concept of “Quran in one hand and a computer in the other.”
Over 55,000 Students Pass Madrasa Board Exams 2026
According to official data, a total of 80,933 students registered for the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Board Examination 2026.
- Registered students: 80,933
- Appeared for examination: 63,211
- Successfully passed: 55,788
The merit lists for both Secondary and Senior Secondary levels feature an equal representation of boys and girls, with five male and five female students securing places among the top 10 rank holders in each category.
Top Rank Holders in Secondary Category
In the Munshi/Maulvi (Secondary) examination:
- Mohammad Wasim (Chandauli) – First Rank
- Mohammad Qasim Ali (Mirzapur) – Second Rank
- Shaima Parveen (Gorakhpur) – Third Rank
These students will be among those receiving special recognition during the Lucknow ceremony.
Girls Dominate Senior Secondary Merit List
Female students secured all top three positions in the Alim (Senior Secondary) examination.
The leading rank holders include:
- Jumi Fareen (Varanasi)
- Shaista Parveen (Varanasi)
- Ummul Khair (Amroha)
All three students will receive tablet devices from the state government in recognition of their academic excellence.
Danish Azad Ansari Highlights Importance of Quality Education
Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj, Danish Azad Ansari, said the government remains committed to providing modern and quality education to madrasa students, particularly those from economically weaker backgrounds.
He emphasized that madrasa education should go beyond traditional learning and equip students with the knowledge and digital skills necessary for future success.
According to the minister, the tablet distribution initiative aims to help meritorious students pursue higher education more effectively and access digital learning resources.
Transparent Examination Process Ensured
The Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Board examinations were conducted from February 9 to February 14, 2026, across 277 examination centers in the state.
The examinations were held in two shifts:
- First Shift: Munshi and Maulvi examinations
- Second Shift: Alim, Arabic, and Persian examinations
To maintain transparency and prevent malpractice, all examination centers were equipped with CCTV surveillance systems linked directly to the Madrasa Board headquarters.
Officials stated that the monitoring system helped ensure the examinations were conducted fairly, peacefully, and transparently across Uttar Pradesh.
The upcoming felicitation ceremony reflects the state’s continued efforts to promote academic excellence, digital inclusion, and educational advancement among madrasa students while strengthening opportunities for their future growth and development.
