Pankaj Tripathi’s Mirzapur: The Movie crossed ₹154 crore worldwide in four days, supported by a strong opening weekend and solid Monday collections.
Mirzapur: The Movie has made a powerful transition from streaming to cinemas, crossing the ₹150-crore mark at the worldwide box office within four days of its theatrical release.
The crime-action film, headlined by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, recorded an estimated worldwide gross collection of ₹154.05 crore after successfully passing its first Monday test. The film was released in Hindi and Telugu on September 4, 2026.
According to figures reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected approximately ₹16 crore net in India on its fourth day. This took its four-day domestic net total to ₹109.75 crore and India gross collection to around ₹131.55 crore.
Overseas markets contributed an estimated ₹22.50 crore, pushing the film’s combined worldwide earnings beyond ₹154 crore. Box-office estimates can vary between tracking agencies and should be treated as provisional until the producers release audited figures.
Popular Series Finds Success in Cinemas
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur: The Movie expands the world of the popular Prime Video crime series for the big screen. Pankaj Tripathi returns as Kaleen Bhaiya, while Ali Fazal and Divyenndu reprise their roles as Guddu and Munna.
The ensemble cast also includes Ravi Kishan, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Harshita Gaur and Jitendra Kumar. The film combines familiar characters with a new struggle for control of Mirzapur, using the franchise’s established themes of crime, power and revenge.
Strong advance bookings, the popularity of the original series and audience interest in the returning characters helped the film secure a successful opening weekend. Its solid Monday collection is particularly significant because weekday performance is often used to assess whether a film can sustain its theatrical momentum.
The film has also reportedly outperformed competing release Bhooth Bangla and is expected to target the ₹200-crore worldwide milestone if audience demand remains stable.
Its success demonstrates the commercial potential of turning established Indian streaming franchises into theatrical releases, provided the adaptation offers audiences a sufficiently large-scale cinematic experience.
