NEW DELHI — India hosted the second Technical Meeting on the BRICS Mission for Healthy Lifestyle under its BRICS Chairship 2026, with member nations discussing collaborative strategies to promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen preventive healthcare systems.
The meeting was convened by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and focused on sharing evidence-based, scalable and sustainable public health practices among BRICS nations.
India Showcases ‘Stop Obesity Campaign’ Under Eat Right India
During the meeting, India presented its “Stop Obesity Campaign” launched under the Eat Right India movement, highlighting initiatives aimed at improving nutrition awareness, promoting balanced diets and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices among citizens.
Officials said the campaign is part of India’s broader preventive healthcare strategy focused on reducing obesity, lifestyle-related diseases and other non-communicable health conditions.

Representatives from BRICS member countries also showcased successful interventions, policy frameworks and implementation models designed to improve public health outcomes through preventive healthcare and healthy living initiatives.
