Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday listened to the 134th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme along with students of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential Girls’ Hostel at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has emerged as a powerful platform that inspires citizens across the country. He said Prime Minister Modi shares inspiring stories from various sectors, motivating people to actively participate in public welfare initiatives.
Dhami noted that the Prime Minister’s consistent messages on self-reliant India, environmental conservation, cleanliness, innovation, promotion of local products, and social responsibility are driving positive transformation in society.
He said that inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision, many people in Uttarakhand are bringing significant change through their work, and the state government is actively encouraging such efforts.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that during the programme, Prime Minister Modi urged citizens to take special care of their health during the intense summer season and adopt necessary precautions to avoid heat-related issues. He also emphasized the promotion of traditional Indian beverages and highlighted the nutritional value of Indian fruits, including mangoes.
Chief Minister Interacts with Students
Following the programme, Chief Minister Dhami interacted with the students of the residential hostel and sought their feedback on the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast.
He encouraged the students to actively participate in sports and extracurricular activities alongside academics. He said that small positive changes in life often become the foundation for major transformations.
Dhami added that sincere efforts and dedicated work inspire others and contribute to building a positive social environment. He urged the students to remain committed to excellence and become role models for others through their actions.
MLA Mahant Dalip Singh Rawat was also present on the occasion.
