The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe into the mysterious death of Twisha Sharma, deploying an advanced “Tunnel View” digital reconstruction technique to map her final hours and establish the exact sequence of events leading up to the incident.
Twisha Sharma was allegedly found hanging at her matrimonial residence in Katara Hills, Bhopal, on May 12, just months after marrying lawyer Samarth Singh in December.
The case has sparked widespread concern after disturbing allegations surfaced from the victim’s family. Days before her death, Twisha had reportedly sent WhatsApp messages to her mother, claiming she felt trapped in her marriage and was facing mental torture and dowry harassment by her in-laws.
Her father has further alleged that the 33-year-old was subjected to severe abuse, including physical assault.
Mother-in-Law Arrested, Husband Surrenders
In a significant development, the CBI took Giribala Singh, Twisha’s mother-in-law, into custody on Thursday evening after the Jabalpur High Court cancelled her anticipatory bail.
Earlier, Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh surrendered before a court after remaining absconding for nearly 10 days.
The Supreme Court of India recently transferred the investigation to the CBI, directing the central agency to take complete control of the case to ensure a swift and impartial investigation.
What Is CBI’s ‘Tunnel View’ Investigation?
Sources indicate that the CBI is creating a minute-by-minute digital timeline of Twisha Sharma’s final hours.
Using the “Tunnel View” forensic method, investigators are reconstructing her movements, interactions, and digital activity to identify:
- Who entered or exited the house during crucial hours
- Twisha’s last known movements inside the residence
- Suspicious gaps in time and unexplained delays
- Contradictions in witness statements
The agency is currently scanning:
- CCTV footage
- Mobile phone records
- Wi-Fi activity logs
- Call detail records
- Forensic mapping of all three floors of the residence
Unanswered Questions Deepen Mystery
What initially appeared to be a case of suspected suicide has now raised serious questions due to multiple inconsistencies, including:
- Missing belt evidence during post-mortem
- Alleged gaps in injury documentation
- Mismatched height records
- Contradictions in the FIR
- CCTV timing discrepancies
The victim’s family has also alleged lapses in the initial police investigation, pointing out that the FIR was registered three days after Twisha was found dead.
As the CBI continues its forensic reconstruction, the investigation is expected to provide crucial clarity into the circumstances surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death.
