Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh: A social media influencer from Madhya Pradesh has become the victim of a major burglary after thieves allegedly targeted her residence and stole gold jewellery, cash, silver ornaments, and other valuables worth several lakh rupees.
Rachna Gurjar, a content creator from Mohni village in Shivpuri district, is known for sharing videos showcasing luxury items, gold jewellery, bundles of cash, and her lavish lifestyle on social media platforms. Her content had attracted significant attention and a large online following.
According to police officials, unidentified burglars broke into Gurjar’s house during the night in what appears to have been a carefully planned operation. Preliminary investigations suggest the suspects used a ladder to gain access to the property and attempted to disable surveillance systems before carrying out the theft.
After entering the residence, the accused allegedly searched multiple rooms, broke open cupboards, and escaped with valuables, including gold and silver ornaments, cash, and other expensive items. Family members discovered the theft later and immediately informed local authorities.
Images from the residence showed rooms ransacked and belongings scattered as the burglars searched for valuables. The incident quickly sparked discussion on social media, with many users speculating that the influencer’s public display of wealth may have drawn the attention of criminals.
However, police have not established any direct connection between Gurjar’s online content and the burglary. Investigators are currently examining CCTV footage and exploring all possible angles in the case.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Mool confirmed that a formal complaint has been registered and efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible. Officials are also investigating whether the suspects deliberately selected the property after monitoring social media activity.
The case has reignited concerns about privacy and security risks associated with frequently displaying expensive assets and personal wealth on public social media platforms.
