New Delhi/Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has intensified its campaign against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, with party founder Abhijeet Dipke declaring that the agitation will continue until the minister resigns or is removed from office by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing reporters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Sunday, Dipke announced a fresh seven-day deadline for the Centre to act against Pradhan. He warned that failure to meet the demand would trigger a nationwide expansion of the protest movement.
“The agitation will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan steps down or is removed from his position,” Dipke said, reiterating the party’s stand following the massive demonstration held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
A day earlier, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka described the June 6 protest as merely a “trailer” of a larger movement. He urged Pradhan to resign voluntarily, stating that if no action is taken within the next seven days, protests would spread across the country.
The protest at Jantar Mantar witnessed the participation of thousands of demonstrators demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in the education sector. Social activist Sonam Wangchuk also joined the agitation, lending support to the movement led by Dipke.
Following the conclusion of the protest around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dipke returned to Mumbai and thanked supporters through a post on social media platform X. He expressed gratitude to the large number of participants and emphasized that the Delhi gathering marked only the beginning of a broader campaign.
The agitation has received backing from several opposition leaders, political parties, and Members of Parliament, adding momentum to the movement. While police confirmed that the Jantar Mantar demonstration ended peacefully, CJP leaders insist that the protest campaign is far from over.
With the seven-day ultimatum now in effect, all eyes are on the Centre’s response as the CJP prepares for its next phase of action.
