The death of television actress Sanchita Ugale has taken a new turn after her close friend Indraxi Kanjilal made serious allegations against actor Ujjwal Sharma, claiming he allegedly harassed and threatened the late actress.
According to reports, Indraxi alleged that Sanchita faced mental stress and harassment while working on the television show Saajan Ghar. She further claimed that Ujjwal Sharma had allegedly threatened Sanchita during disputes and shared screenshots of conversations to support her claims.
The controversy intensified after Ujjwal reportedly suggested that Sanchita had been dealing with personal relationship issues. In response, Indraxi rejected those claims and accused the actor of attempting to shift attention away from alleged workplace problems.
Meanwhile, Sanchita’s father has also alleged that the actress was under significant pressure and harassment before her death, prompting calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.
The case is currently under police investigation, and authorities have not confirmed any conclusions regarding the cause or circumstances behind the actress’s death. Industry bodies, including the All Indian Cine Workers Association, have demanded a transparent and comprehensive probe.
