Actor-politician Ravi Kishan has officially joined the cast of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, adding a major new face to the sequel of the much-loved 2006 Hindi comedy. His entry was announced on August 26 with a playful video featuring returning stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Parvin Dabas.
Ravi Kishan Gets a Viral Welcome
Rather than making a conventional casting announcement, the team used one of Kishan’s recent viral moments to introduce him.
In the video shared by Anupam Kher, Kishan appears with Kher, Boman Irani and Parvin Dabas as the actors attempt his popular viral dance step. The deliberately playful performance quickly attracted attention on social media.
Kher humorously described the group as the “coordination KINGS” while welcoming Kishan to the sequel. The video has already accumulated millions of views, further increasing online buzz around the film.
Ravi Kishan’s Viral ‘Gucci’ Walk
Kishan has enjoyed a fresh wave of social-media popularity in recent weeks after clips of his distinctive sideways walk were turned into memes and videos, including edits featuring the song Gucci.
Kishan recently explained that the original movement wasn’t planned—he was simply trying to move sideways because there was little space available. He has embraced the memes and credited younger social-media users for giving his old clips new popularity.
The Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 team has now cleverly incorporated that viral popularity into the movie’s promotional campaign.
Original Cast Returns for Sequel
The sequel will reunite several familiar faces from the original film. Anupam Kher returns as Kamal Kishore Khosla, while Boman Irani and Parvin Dabas are also returning.
Ranvir Shorey, Tara Sharma and Kiran Juneja are among other original cast members reported to be part of the new film. Ravi Kishan and Divya Khosla are among the fresh additions to the ensemble.
New Director Takes Over ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’
The original Khosla Ka Ghosla, released in 2006 and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, followed a middle-class Delhi family attempting to reclaim land seized by an influential property dealer.
Its relatable characters, Delhi setting and sharp comedy helped the film develop a strong cult following over the following two decades.
The sequel is being directed by Prashant Bhagia and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Savita Raj Hiremath and Raj Hiremath under T-Series Films and Tandav Films.
With much of the original ensemble returning and Ravi Kishan joining at a moment when his memes and dance moves are dominating social media, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 is combining nostalgia with viral internet culture to build anticipation for the sequel.
