Nothing has begun teasing a new smartphone that could mark the debut of its “b” series lineup. While reports of the CMF Phone 3 Pro being shelved disappointed fans, the company appears to be preparing an entirely new device, widely expected to launch as the Nothing Phone (4b).
Recent teasers from Nothing India have provided the clearest hints yet. Earlier, Nothing’s global social media channels posted a cryptic “(b)” teaser, fueling speculation about a new product category. A new video shared by Nothing India, captioned “(b)usted,” briefly showcased elements of the upcoming device’s design.
Nothing Phone (4b): Design Hints and Expected Features
Nothing India had previously teased Pokémon Blastoise, which is now believed to be the internal codename for the upcoming Phone (4b). The latest teaser reveals a sketch of a smartphone featuring Nothing’s signature transparent rear design with visible internal components.
The video also highlights pencils labeled “2b,” “3b,” and “5b,” with “4b” prominently marked, strengthening speculation around the device’s name.
One of the biggest clues comes from the camera setup. Unlike recent Nothing smartphones that feature dual or triple rear cameras, the teased handset appears to have a single rear camera. This suggests that Nothing may be focusing on affordability while delivering a quality camera experience rather than adding multiple low-end sensors.
Expected Price in India
Nothing has not officially announced the pricing or specifications of the Phone (4b). However, industry trends indicate that the device could target the affordable premium segment.
The company’s current entry-level smartphone, the Phone (3a) Lite, debuted at ₹20,999, though price increases and rising component costs have pushed its retail price above ₹25,000. The upcoming Phone (4b) could offer a more budget-friendly alternative with solid performance, good battery life, clean software, and a capable single camera.
If priced around ₹20,000, the Nothing Phone (4b) could attract buyers looking for a distinctive design and reliable everyday performance without spending significantly more. With teaser campaigns already underway, the official launch is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
