India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match T20I series against Ireland after suffering a recurrence of his quadriceps injury. The setback comes just days before the series opener in Belfast, dealing a blow to India’s preparations.
Reddy had already missed the second ODI against Afghanistan because of a thigh issue, and medical assessments confirmed that the injury has resurfaced. The 23-year-old will now undergo further treatment and rehabilitation before returning to competitive cricket.
The injury has also cast doubt over his availability for India’s subsequent T20I series against England, with no timeline announced for his comeback.
