Hanuman Ansh earned an estimated ₹7.25 crore on Day 27, taking its reported India gross past ₹72 crore after a remarkable fourth-week surge.
Mumbai: Spiritual drama Hanuman Ansh has staged an extraordinary box-office turnaround, earning crores during its fourth week after beginning its theatrical run with an opening-day collection of only around ₹10 lakh.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated ₹7.25 crore net in India on Day 27. Its total domestic net collection consequently reached approximately ₹61.38 crore, while its reported India gross stood at ₹72.32 crore.
These figures are preliminary industry estimates and have not been independently audited.
Hanuman Ansh outperforms Toxic on Day 27
Despite experiencing a 14.7% decline from its estimated ₹8.50 crore collection on Day 26, Hanuman Ansh reportedly registered an overall occupancy rate of approximately 29% on its fourth Wednesday.
Its Day 27 earnings were higher than the ₹5.10 crore reportedly collected by Yash’s big-budget film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups on its eighth day.
While Toxic began with a massive opening, Hanuman Ansh followed the opposite trajectory. The spiritual film initially struggled to attract viewers and reportedly fell as low as ₹4 lakh on one of its early days.
The momentum shifted around Day 17, when collections climbed to approximately ₹2.20 crore. Growing word of mouth and increased public interest helped the movie maintain stronger daily earnings during its fourth week.
Thousands of shows reportedly added
The film’s distributors reportedly added approximately 6,000 screenings following the sharp rise in audience demand. The expansion is notable because smaller films generally lose screens when major pan-India releases arrive in cinemas.
Its performance demonstrates how positive audience response, social-media attention and culturally resonant subject matter can transform a modest theatrical release into a commercial success several weeks after its debut.
