Apple has confirmed its September 9 “Surprise and Shine” event, where the iPhone 18 Pro series and the company’s first foldable iPhone are expected to debut.
Apple has officially scheduled its next major product-launch event for September 9, 2026. The keynote, carrying the theme “Surprise and Shine,” will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time—10:30 p.m. in India—and will be streamed from Apple Park.
Viewers will be able to watch the presentation through Apple’s official website, YouTube channel and the Apple TV app. Although Apple has confirmed the event, it has not disclosed the names or specifications of the products that will be unveiled.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are widely expected to headline the showcase. Reports suggest that the devices could feature Apple’s new A20 Pro processor, camera improvements, a smaller Dynamic Island and larger batteries. A variable-aperture camera has also been linked to the Pro Max, but these specifications remain unofficial.
Apple could also introduce its first foldable smartphone. Frequently referred to in reports as the iPhone Ultra or iPhone Fold, the device is expected to use a book-style design that opens into a tablet-sized display. Its official name, price and availability have yet to be announced.
The standard iPhone 18 may not appear at the September presentation. Industry reports indicate that Apple could divide its launch calendar, releasing premium models in autumn 2026 and introducing the regular iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and another iPhone Air model in early 2027.
Updates to the Apple Watch and AirPods lineup are also anticipated. However, all product details, pricing and release dates should be treated as speculation until Apple makes its official announcements on September 9.
