Lust Stories 3 is now streaming on Netflix, with four filmmakers exploring love, intimacy and the tensions within relationships. Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj each direct a separate story in the third instalment of the Hindi anthology.
The cast includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Apte, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Radhika Madan. Netflix released the film on September 18, 2026. The Indian Express confirms the release and the four directors.
Four Stories, Different Perspectives
Motwane’s segment follows two married couples, played by Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Apte, Vijay Varma and Abhishek Banerjee. Bhardwaj sets his story in Hyderabad, with Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth portraying a couple whose expectations of intimacy differ.
Batra’s film centres on an estranged couple played by Ali Fazal and Radhika Madan. Rao’s segment features Gurfateh Pirzada and Sana Thampi. Together, the stories examine how people express desire, negotiate relationships and respond when their expectations do not match.
A New Chapter for the Anthology
The first Lust Stories arrived in 2018, followed by Lust Stories 2 in 2023. The series has used short films by different directors to approach subjects that mainstream Hindi cinema has often handled cautiously.
Early critical response to the third film has been mixed. The Indian Express called the anthology uneven but enjoyable, praising the performances of Konkona Sen Sharma and Radhika Apte. That assessment is a review, rather than a measure of the wider audience response, which will become clearer after the film has spent more time on the platform.
